rssmapper allows users to create location-enabled RSS readers and share them freely. Developed by Korem, rssmapper combines mapping from Google Maps™ with the GeoNames Web services. GeoNames is a geographical database under a Creative Commons attribution license (cc-by) containing millions of geographical names and features. rssmapper searches RSS feeds looking for place names and displays items on the map when they’re locatable. The dynamic maps created with rssmapper can be embedded on external websites by pasting the associated HTML code. rssmapper also supports the GeoRSS format.
