Project Further utilizes crowdfunding and social media to provide education funding for people from all walks of life with education funding shortfalls. By telling the story of their educational journey in a compelling way, participants raise funds that are contributed by Project Further directly to their designated institution. Prior to distribution of the funds, students must "Pay-it-Forward" by contributing 1% of the funds raised to another student's active Project Further campaign.
