Astro is a mobile app that digitizes your real social activity and turns it into a game. Problem: Compared to games and social networks reality is broken. It's just not so engaging! We can spend hours scrolling the newsfeed, commenting, liking, or watering crops on FarmVille and at first sight it might seem fun. But this actually means that no real connections are made and no real emotions happen. Solution: We want to bring social connections back to its roots by making them gamified and digitally interactive and thus more engaging. Our app combines real-life connection building, social network elements, and game mechanics to create an interactive gamified environment, where players get achievements, statuses and recognition for real connections with each other.
