What is BumblePix? BumblePix is a geo-based photo and video sharing application. It uses your current location, and locates other Bumblers who are using the app to collect all of your photos and videos in one location. Why should I use BumblePix? Excellent question! Scenario 1: Typically, at weddings, the bridal party leaves cheap cameras for everyone to take pictures, and then they process them at a later time. With BumblePix, the wedding event is detected, and all photos/videos taken within the app are automatically collected together and sent to the cloud for everyone to enjoy. Scenario 2: You're the unofficial photographer for your group, and its always left to you to organize and share all of the photos and videos. With BumblePix, each event (as well as each individual image or video) is given its own unique url. Simply share this unique url by Email, Facebook, or Twitter, and your friends can decide what to take. If you find a particular photo or video you want to post immediately, its just one-click away. What happens with my photos and videos? BumblePix has the ability to automatically upload every photo and video you take directly to Facebook, in its own individual photo album. This saves you the time of taking a picture, opening the Facebook application, going to your Photos section, choosing an album, browsing your photo library, choosing a photo, adding a caption, and FINALLY uploading it. With BumblePix, just turn the 'Publish to Facebook' option on, and from then on, whenever you take a picture (or video), just supply a quick caption (if you want to), and the app will automatically take care of the rest. You can take multiple photos and video recordings at the same time. Events are removed from the main view of the mobile app after one day (to prevent cluttering of your interface), but will remain under the 'My Events' section. In the meantime, BumblePix is also storing these on our redundant servers, so you never have to worry about finding them later. What about my friends and family who don't use Facebook? Its simple. Just use the Share option in each event, and send them the url. They'll have access to the website with all of the photos and videos. These pages are not searchable, so only those with the link will have access to it. Where did the name "BumblePix" come from? My better half likes bees, so I tried to incoporate that into an app. Imagine everyone using the app are the worker bees, bringing everything back to the hive...make sense? If not...well, it just sounds nice. We'll do the work...
